Mitel UC360 system software upgrades can be carried out using a USB flash drive, an SD card or HTTP. Additionally, you can a enable auto Upgrade, Auto Polling and set the Upgrade time.

 

USB Flash Drive or SD Card Upgrade

 

The USB flash drive or SD Card MUST contain the file named upgrade.xml and the upgrade package, typically named update.zip, in the top-level folder provided by Mitel with each software load. The upgrade .xml file name will contain the new software load version.

 
  • Insert the USB flash drive with the software upgrade
  • Press settings, then Advanced
  • Press System settings
  • Select Upgrade system S/W
  • Select upgrade system S/W now
  • Select USB Flash/SD Card   
    • You will see a series of messages. This can take a few minutes; the UC360 will then reboot and load new software.
    • Unmount the USB flash drive/SD Card
 


 

HTTP Server Upgrade

 
  1. Press settings, then press Advanced
  2. Press System Settings
  3. Select Upgrade system S/W
  4. Select HTTP Server Address and enter the IP address of the HTTP server where new software loads and stored
  5. Press save
  6. Select upgrade system S/W now
  7. Select HTTP   
    1. You will see a series of messages. This can take a few minutes; the UC360 will then reboot and load new software.
 

HTTP Server Upgrade via MAS/MBG

 

When the UC360 is programmed as a teleworker device, use the following instructions to upgrade the software:

 
  1. Log in to the MAS server at the root level using an application that allows file transfers
  2. Copy UC360 load and upgrade files to the /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/html directory
  3. Set the HTTP upgrade IP address to the WAN-side IP setting of the MBG
  4. Perform a UC360 upgrade using normal procedure
 

Auto-upgrade

 

If time is precious to you, you can enable automatic upgrades and auto polling on the UC360 by following these steps:

 
  1. Press settings, then advanced
  2. Press system settings
  3. Select Upgrade system S/W
  4. Enable Auto Upgrade (if desired)
  5. Enable Auto Polling (if desired)
  6. Enter time for the upgrade
  7. Select set
